There are a variety of types of diagrams we can use to improve UX planning:

  1. Mind maps:
    • diagrams that show the relationships between different concepts or ideas, often used to organize and present user research findings.
  2. Flowcharts:
    • diagrams that depict the flow of interactions between different screens or pages in a user interface.
  3. Wireframes:
    • simple, low-fidelity diagrams that depict the layout and structure of a user interface, including the placement of buttons, text fields, and other elements.
  4. User journey maps:
    • diagrams that depict the steps a user goes through to complete a task or achieve a goal.
  5. Use Case diagrams:
    • They are used to show the interaction between actors and system, showing the different scenarios and paths a user may take in a system.
  6. Entity-relationship diagrams:
    • They are used to show the data model of a system and the relationships between different entities and data.
  7. State-transition diagrams:
    • They are used to show the different states a system can be in and the different events that can cause a transition between states.
